Grace morning on this serene and seismic Sunday.
Breaking News! Too often we’re trying to get our worth out of what we do, how well we perform: am I a good enough mother, husband, friend or co-worker? Am I talented enough? Strong enough? Successful enough? Some people think if they work harder, out perform their co-worker, out dress their friend, out drive their neighbor, then they’ll feel good about themselves. We live in this proving mode, with the need to impress. The problem is: we're getting our value from the wrong place. If you don't know who you are, a child of God, then you'll spend your energy trying to get other people to validate you. But when you're secure in who God made you to be, you're content with your looks, you're happy with your personality, then you don't go around competing with others, jealous of a friend that's more talented, living to impress that person that's more attractive. You’re one of a kind, a masterpiece, made in the image of God.
“Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 AMPC
Live, love, and laugh your way through this GOD WiLL BRING YOU ThROUGH SUNDAY!
