Grace morning on this wonderful and winsome Wednesday.
The danger of comparison is the way it can take over how we think, act and live our life. This is because we are living for someone else’s expectations, which in the end will lead to a downward spiral of greed. Focusing on the things we do have can transform our mind to be more at peace with what God has given us.
When we are engaged in comparison, we become less focused on what we have and more focused on things we wish we had. We shouldn’t dwell on what we don’t have; instead, we should glorify God and be thankful as we recognize all He has done for us.
Since God stooped down for you why don't you stoop down for someone else? You're never more like God than when you're helping the hurting and hopeless, restoring the broken, lifting the fallen. There's enough judgment in the world, there's enough criticism, fault finding - let's be lifters, let's be encouragers, let's help someone else experience the God who stops, stoops and saves.
“Jesus stopped. He said to the people, ‘Tell the man to come here.’ So the people said to the blind man, ‘Be brave. Stand up. Jesus is asking you to go to him.’”
Mark 10:49 EEB
Live, love, and laugh your way through this worry-less Wednesday!
