Grace morning on this marvelous and meaningful Monday.
It was an amazing boxing match on a couple of years ago.
It was advertised as one of the biggest fights of all time. The two heavyweight boxers were scheduled for a 12 round fight. And there had been all this hype leading up to it, the opening bell finally rang. I expected this exciting, high-energy match to be epic, but the boxer that was the favorite hardly threw any punches. The first through the 4th round he was passive, just playing defense, trying to stay from away from his opponent, almost like he was scared. In the fifth round he got knocked out, it was a huge upset. He said afterwards: his strategy was to be defensive for the first five rounds, save all his energy, not throw many punches, so in the later rounds his opponent would be tired and he would have the advantage. The problem is: he never made it to the later rounds. He never threw enough swings at his opponent.
The match of the century, turned out being the match of collapse. Swing your sword as often and as early as you can.
“Use all the help that God gives to us. Then you can be like a soldier who fights against the Devil. You must put on the whole armour that God gives to us. The Devil attacks us in clever ways, and we need to be strong.”
Ephesians 6:11 EEB
Live, love, and laugh your way through this magnificent Monday!
