Grace morning on this tremendous and thankful Thursday.
Birds sing different sounds and melodies. Outside my office, one would chirp real loud, there'd be a pause, then another bird chirps. At times they'd all chirp together, sounded like a symphony. The next morning five o'clock in the morning, same thing. Over and over. The next morning it was raining, thundering, I thought there's no way those birds are singing today, no way they're be happy: cold, rainy, lightning. Soon as I started my Five o'clock devotion, the birds were louder than ever. I found myself asking God, why are birds so happy? Don't they know we're in a pandemic? Haven't they heard, there are problems in the world, the price of gas is high, the supply chain is messed up, how can they be singing? What if they don't get their worms today? It's interesting how God put something in those birds to start the day off singing. They're saying in effect,
“Life is good. We're happy. We're going to enjoy this day, how about you?"
“I say to myself, ‘Praise the Lord!’ Lord, my God, you are very great!”
Psalms 104:1 EEB
Live, love, and laugh your way through this tranquil and triumphant Thursday!
