Charlene Mosley

Sis. Charlene Mosley is originally from Houston, MS, where she

was born, raised, and graduated from high school. She and her high

school sweetheart, Dr. Joe N. Mosley, were married on August 31,

2002, and they have two sons, Nathan and Joe. She graduated from

the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and from Alcorn State University with a master’s degree in biology. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been her place of employment since February 2013.


She is a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church, where her husband, Dr. Mosley, has pastored since August 2011. She immediately helped establish a thriving women’s ministry in January 2012, which is still growing, developing, and transforming women’s lives. Not only has she established the women’s ministry, but she was also involved in several outreach initiatives, such as providing lunches every Friday to the community in collaboration with the Salvation Army. She’s been instrumental in establishing a new membership and visitor process in keeping in touch and welcoming visitors. Other ministries she has been involved with are the music and media.


As a firm believer, she supports and helps her husband according to the will and word of God. Currently, she serves as the Regional Director for the V&B Ministries. She has been a devoted mother and wife while being involved in various community organizations. One of

her favorite scriptures is 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and a sound mind.”
