Dr. Bell

Full Bio

Born in Fort Worth, Texas August 9, 1956, to Robert Spencer and Mrs. Hattie Mae Bell. 

Called to the Gospel Ministry in 1979 through the Harvey Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
 Ordained through Harvey Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas on
November 14, 1982. 

Pastor Bell accepted the call to New Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas in 1997 to serve as Senior Pastor. 

Under his leadership over thirty-five active ministries have been established. Pilgrim Land Park came into fruition in March of 2015. Pilgrim Land Bistro a small diner housed inside the church was opened in November 2014. 

Two mission churches have been planted under his leadership with two of his fifteen sons in the ministry. Greater Love Mission Church under the leadership Pastor Thaddeus McCall who previously served as the Senior Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor for eight years under Pastor Bell’s Leadership. The Church is located in North West Fort Worth. 

 Christ Central Church, under the leadership of Pastor Jeremy Dean was New Pilgrim Rest second church plant. The Church is located in Pleasant Grove. 

Pastor Bell has served in the following capacities: youth minister lecturer in the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, instructing young ministers on pulpit decorum. He has lectured for Substance abuse inmates at the Mansfield Correction Facility.

In 1999 he was appointed as Director/Instructor of the Laymen Division for W.H.W. Ministries, Inc., under the leadership of Dr. R. A. Williams
Pastor Bell organized the Judea Missionary Baptist Church in the year 1986 where he served as Senior Pastor for 11 years.

Judea started with six members in 1986 and grew to well over three hundred on roll. Under his leadership the church organized three apartment ministries with the objective of helping youth with reading skills, helping them get ready for their SAT test. Under his leadership Judea adopted two public schools. 

Pastor Bell currently serves as President/Professor of 3BC (Billy Bell Bible College), President of V & B Ministries Church Wide Institute. 

In 2004 and 2012 Pastor Bell traveled and toured the Holy Land. While in Israel Pastor Bell said his greatest moments were when he walked in the Garden of Gethsemane, stood on the place called Calvary and went in viewed the empty tomb where Jesus laid. 

2001-2011 served as Director of the Frank Ray Expository Preaching/Church Growth Conference. 

 In 2012 Pastor Bell traveled to Nairobi, Kenya with V & B Ministries International Church Wide Institute where he lectured at Nairobi Pentecostal Bible College. 

Pastor Bell is affiliated with the National Baptist Convention USA, Incorporated. Pastor Bell serves as one the Board members of the Dallas Baptist Theological Institute. Pastor Bell has lectured in National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. and The National Baptist Convention Evangelical Board. 

Pastor Bell is a graduate of Faith Seminary in Tacoma Washington with a Master of Theological Studies and Doctorate of Ministry degree. Pastor Bell received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Saint Thomas Christian College in Jacksonville, Florida.
