Full Bio

Markeia Mitchell is a proud native of Florida who has dedicated her life to faith, family, and the pursuit of justice. 

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida State University and went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from Florida A&M University, College of Law.

After completing her education, Markeia relocated to Dallas, Texas, to begin her career as an attorney. It was in Dallas where she met and married Travis Mitchell. Together, they became devoted members of New Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Billy Bell, where Markeia serves faithfully as the Fuel Superintendent.

A devoted mother of three teenagers, Markeia balances her professional life with her love for home and family. She enjoys shopping, cooking, and home decorating—always finding joy in creating a warm, welcoming space. Known for her strong principles and commitment to excellence, she lives by the motto: “If it’s not done right, don’t do it.”
